A recent development in my practice involves live performance as a sculptural and relational act. My work embraces nontraditional modes of display, with the intention of cultivating intimacy between myself and the viewer. I am invested in countering inconsequential modes of modern media consumption by creating spaces that demand presence. By working within limited time frames and prioritizing gesture over flawlessness, I resist imposed ideals of perfection, instead foregrounding the emotive capacity of the body in motion to generate narrative and history within the resulting still form.

Within this performative practice, I explore presence, accessibility, and spatial reclamation through the live body. These interventions disrupt conventional assumptions about where art “belongs” by prioritizing encounter, duration, and shared space, transforming environments not originally designed to hold or honor diasporic and marginalized narratives into sites of embodied dialogue, visibility, and collective presence.
